Screenwriting

After a career as a well-published researcher, award-winning teacher/mentor, and high-ranking academic administrator focused on developing programs to incubate successful interdisciplinary collaborations, I have returned to my love for creative expression. I have a particular passion for the stories of women who were instrumental in shaping American culture, which only deepened after moving to Santa Fe in 2024.

What's next?

I am the daughter of a Hungarian refugee/immigrant and a coal miner’s daughter. As a first-generation college student, I had to overcome many obstacles to graduate from university and graduate school—and to earn tenure and promotion at a succession of Research I universities.

My greatest hope at this new juncture of my life is to tell the stories of women who didn’t just beat the odds and won, but who changed the game entirely. These true stories help to show us that there are ways to live that are more inherently just and more deeply joyous than the pathways currently offered in most of America. To be it, we first have to dream it. And I hope to help spark collective dreaming.
